As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing production shift employees and ensuring safety, quality, and quantity standards are met.
Major Responsibilities
- Oversee production operations, daily workflows, and prepare work schedules to ensure efficient operations while following work instructions.
- Conduct performance reviews, hiring, and initiate disciplinary action.
- Maintain knowledge of processes and equipment.
- Ensure products are identified, weighed, and warehoused correctly.
- Troubleshoot issues as they arise and notify maintenance department of equipment problems.
- Ensure employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure paperwork is complete and accurate.
- Maintain 5S standards.
- Create purchase requisitions for needed materials.
Skills Required
- High school Diploma or GED
- Must have at least 3 years of manufacturing supervisory experience to include experience leading continuous improvement activities.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), ERP/MRP, and IQMS.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to prioritize and delegate when appropriate.
